DISC Training

DISC is a form of behavioural analysis or ‘typing’ that is used by millions of people throughout the world to help them understand themselves and others in order to resolve conflict and build better relationships.

The DISC system draws on ideas that stem back as far as Ancient Greece, and posits that, although we each have a unique personality, our personality ‘types’ fall predominantly into one of 4 categories. It is therefore the case that, despite speaking the same language, it is a language of 4 ‘dialects’ and failing to recognise these different dialects can lead to miscommunication, misunderstandings and even conflict.

Introduction to DISC

This is a face to face workshop, which lasts approximately 3 hours and is sat in classes of 4-10 people

An interactive course with comprehensive handouts and live practice sessions, the beginners’ course addresses the concept of DISC in order to give delegates an insight into the methodology.

At the end of the course you will have

  • An idea of your DISC ‘style’ *
  • An understanding of how to spot other people’s styles
  • Tips and tricks on how to use DISC both personally and professionally
  • Guidance on on how DISC can help you communicate more effectively
  • A recipe for conflict management using DISC styles as a guide

*In the introductory course you will perform a guided ‘self assessment’ of your DISC style. This is an estimate only; for a definitive guide to your DISC style and what that means, you will need to complete an online assessment at an additional cost of £100 per person (a saving of £50)

Workshops are run on an ‘in-house’ basis for companies with 4 or more employees
There is a flat rate of £700 for a half day (3 hours) workshop for up to 10 people (with larger companies being split over several sessions).
If you do not have suitable premises a venue can be booked in your locale at cost. Travel and catering are charged on top of the flat rate, although I don’t charge for travel within Kent.
